How We Started | Mission | Goals | Board Goals Improving housing and services for hard to serve and chronically underserved elders both in the US and abroad are Dr. Wilson’s primary goals for JFR. This work supports JFR’s slogan: Across Generations. Across Borders.
Dr. Wilson has spent more than 30 years looking for ways to improve the quality of life and services for those elders living in a variety of housing and long term settings. In 1985, she incorporated her first non-profit organization, the National Institute for Adult Development, which she eventually reformed and named after her mother. After spending more than 20 years working to develop affordable private and Medicaid funded assisted living on a national level, Dr. Wilson "retired" in 2001, to devote full time to the foundation. |
